XGMan 1.2 01/28/2003

Homepage: http://archon.cs.unm.edu/xgman/

What is it?
It's a simple ftp client that will view only 2 directories, your local hd's game root directory, and your xbox hd's game root directory. If you don't have the cash for a 120 gig hd for your xbox, why not just transfer your games back and forth? XGMan is simple, fast, and quite useful.

What's the point? I already have an ftp client.
I'm not trying to win anyone over. I use it because it's handy, and someone else might agree. It shows game sizes, and space left on your drives. It helps for planning out what games you can simultaneously fit. It also does upkeeping tasks like renaming games and deletion.

Features:
Supports multiple game copy / deletion in one command
Displays game sizes on both the xbox as well as pc
	Displays space used on xbox
Supports game renaming (handy for XBCopy001 directories etc..)
Displays overall and per-file transfer progress

Updates in 1.2
- Double clicking on a game now launches it
- Now supports pre-win2k Operating Systems

Updates in 1.01
- Fixed config file to support spaces in directories

Help:

What is a good example configuration?

Local Directory: D:\games
Xbox Directory: /e/games
Login Name: xbox
Password: xbox
Xbox IP: 192.168.0.2
Gigs available: 5 (about right for the e partition on most xbox's)

Local Directory: The root directory of where you want your games stored on your pc
XBox Directory: The root directory of where you want your games stored on your xbox

-- The following can be found in the evox status screen --
Login: The ftp login name for your xbox (likely xbox)
Password: The ftp password (likely default is xbox)
Xbox IP: The IP your xbox is assigned
Gigs Available: The maximum amount of space your games can take up

Requirements:
-	This is going to be entirely too slow unless your xbox is on a lan, dont try using this across broadband or some such, it will likely make you want to cry on updates.
-	Ive only tried this with EvolutionX, I have no idea if GenXs ftp server works with it or not and Im too lazy to test it.

Problems:

The list boxes dont show anything, whats wrong?
-	Hit the update button

The update button stays down and never comes up.
-	xgman cant connect to your xbox, check your configuration and make sure your ftp server is running (e.g. evolutionx)

Its so damn slow to do updates!
-	Either your xbox connection is slow, or youre local directory is C:\ or something huge. Try to choose a directory that only contains yours games.

I wish you luck!
