(Q) Exactly which Snes emulator is this a port from?
(A) Snes9X 1.39 based from the Windows sources

(Q) Damn, i was hoping for ZSnes instead. Why didnt you port that?
(A) I dont have a month to spend trying to figure out the .asm sources sorry. Respect goes out to anyone who does however.

(Q) The sound doesnt even sound like a proper Snes machine in lots of games. Whats the problem?
(A) Snes9x sound routines have some issues. Remember this is a port of existing emulator source. Beta 2 has Anti-Resonances sound enabled.

(Q) Can you save your games?
(A) You can as of the Beta 1 Release.

(Q) Does xSnes9x have .zip file support?
(A) Yes as of Beta 2

(Q) Can i use RAR files instead?
(A) No.

(Q) What about network games?
(A) It may be implemented at a later stage.

(Q) xSnesx takes an awful long time to load, it looks like its crashed. Whats going on?
(A) xSnesx opens all your roms and extracts the header information for the roms on startup even before the main menu is painted. Will make this more user friendly later on. If you are using zip files this wont be an issue.

(Q) Why cant i change the options like in Snes9x Windows?
(A) because ive locked them for now. Later on I will release an .ini file later on for you tweakers to mess around with. Lots of the settings however arent relevant/used in this version.

(Q) Im a coder, will you release the source?
(A) At this point i would say most likely after ive ironed out all the issues. Basically development will stop when im happy with the result and am able to enjoy playing Snes games myself without worrying about bugs i havent fixed. Again it will be mentioned through the relevent channels if and when the source is released.

(Q) Why doesnt Super Mario Kart and other DSP1 games work for me?
(A) I dont know why, with any luck It will be fixed in a future release.

(Q) Why doesnt <insert game here> work?
(A) Refer to the original Snes9x texts for compat issues. Most, if not all games that work on Snes9x Win should run fine.

(Q) When is the next release due?
(A) Whenever.
